Getting found by AI search tools

See how easily search engines and AI search tools can read your shop, and what to fix.

4 steps ยท Last checked 18 October 2026

Steps

These are the same steps you see beside the settings in your shop's back office.

  1. Open Settings then SEO. Found by AI has a tick for each thing that helps search engines and AI search tools read and trust your shop, and says how many are done.
  2. Press any line without a tick to go where it is fixed: publish an About page (its address starting with "about"), fill in your contact email under Your shop, add a social link under Preferences, publish your returns page from Google, Meta and AI and a delivery page under Pages, show prices instead of "Ask for a price", and describe at least five products in 50 words or more.
  3. Broken links lists links in your shop that lead to a page that isn't there. They are checked each night once your shop is open, and only links within your shop are checked. Change the link in Menus or in the theme editor, or put the page back.
  4. The rest is done for you. Every page of your shop is plain HTML with its prices, and carries structured data about your shop and its products. Your shop's robots.txt lets AI search tools in by name, sitemap.xml lists every page and llms.txt sums up the shop. When you publish, change or remove a product, category or page, your shop tells Bing through IndexNow; IndexNow on the same page shows the last time.

Where it goes in Tillzy

In your shop's back office the same steps sit beside the boxes you fill in. This is a made-up demo shop.

Settings, SEO in a made-up demo shop: the Found by AI checklist with a tick for each thing done, broken links below it, and IndexNow and the files search tools read at the side.

Good to know

This makes your shop easy to read. No one can promise that any AI search tool will show, mention or recommend it: each one chooses what it shows. Being mentioned on other websites, in local directories and in the press helps too.
